Keever’s Cottage Kangaroo Valley Wedding (Sydney Wedding Photographer)

Photos by Matthew Duchesne & Laura McClintock

Laura and I had a great day late last year photographing a particularly festive wedding down in Kangaroo Valley (on NSW’s south coast).  We found everyone at Keever’s Cottage, just across the creek off Upper River Road, where Trish and Clement’s families were gathering for a beautiful tea ceremony on the deck – a tea ceremony surrounded by paddocks, trees and the imposing sandstone escarpment that Trish and Clem particularly loved seemed quite perfect somehow.

Then Trish changed from her wonderful cheongsam into an amazing Maggie Sottero gown. Loved the shoes too! We just had time to turn inspiration into images before we all left for the Upper River Community Hall  just up the road, and where the orange theme continued. Here we all witnessed (along with a few neighbourly sheep) Trish and Clement’s lovely wedding ceremony, just under a tree between a split-rail fence and the ’50’s community hall.

We took a moment afterwards to cross a near-by suspension bridge, and then it was back to the reception. Here friends and family had all taken part in the decorating the hall which had a kind of fun yet elegant bush-blended theme. Thank you for having us Trish & Clem 🙂

These are lovely photographs and they evoke much of the style and beauty of the event. It’s especially good to include kids and parents because they were such a part of the day. Thank you.
