11 May NSW Peat’s Bite Hawkesbury River Island Wedding

Kate and Mike’s wedding transported us to a tropical paradise, right in the heart of Sydney (nearly)! Their intimate wedding and reception were held at a tiny restaurant located on the Hawkesbury called Peat’s Bite. Only accessible by boat this is an incredibly unique venue and was a great insight for their guests of whom many had travelled from overseas. Kate and her bridesmaids got ready in a private home on the other side of the river and Kate looked gorgeous in her Collette Dinnigan gown. The Frangipani touches in her hair really set the scene for this spectacular location.
The guests really knew how to party and let their hair down at this wonderful wedding celebration and the band knew how to get them going! My favourite detail of the wedding was the ‘cheese cake’, a multi-layered cake make up of wheels of delicious and varied cheeses.
There was an amazing ‘bird’ theme running throughout the wedding right down to the gorgeous birds nest decorations on the tables. It was a pleasure to be a part of this stylish celebration and the fireworks on the water finished off the night spectacularly!
