Wandin Valley Estate in Lovedale Wedding (Sydney Wedding Photographer)

On Friday 28th August, Laura and I drove up to the Hunter Valley for Cara and Michael’s wedding. It was a beautiful day and perfect for the vineyards! Cara looked gorgeous in her Mariana Hardwick dress. Her bolero jacket and headpiece were made of exquisite lace and really set off her look.

The ceremony was held in the grounds of Wandin Valley Estate in Lovedale, with the reception in the Ruby Pavillion next to the cricket field. It is such a great setting and feels very intimate and secluded. The bridal party were lots of fun and very relaxed and we just wandered around the vineyard for a gorgeous photography session. Michael came up with a great line when he yelled out to his groomsmen “I heard it through the grapevine”. Cara and Michael had styled everything themselves. They had pretty ribbons with flowers attached flying behind them in the trees during their ceremony and gorgeous details everywhere.

Being Wandin Valley, they continued the Country Practice theme into their reception with tables named after characters from the TV show like “Molly, Fatso & ??” Cara is a graphic designer and designed the incredible stationery. Her invitation design was amazing and the menu was in a hand-written style across a ribbon which was wrapped around the serviettes. They had used old fashioned tea-cups as candle holders and beautiful hand cut flowers in old-fashioned vases. Cara’s sister had sewn together doilies for the table runners and her mother and Aunty had made a really beautiful cake with hand-made white icing flowers on top.
